IdeaFry.com enables you to display Google AdSense Ads on your blog pages / posts. You get paid when visitors click on these Ads. Google AdSense for content automatically crawls the content of your pages and delivers ads that are relevant to your audience and your site content—ads so well-matched, in fact, that your readers will actually find them useful.

All you need to do is, signup for a Google Adsense account, and It is FREE. Get a new account Today.

Configuring Adsense for your Blog :

Once you have obtained AdSense account, update your site settings (from Admin console, Settings -» Adsense Publisher) with the AdSense publisher ID. Don’t forget to click the “update Options” !

Note:Inserting javascript code with-in the post / page content doesn’t work.

We will display Ads on your blog pages, matching your blog’s color theme.

How does it work?

Once you have provided the publisher id, your Ads will automatically start showing up on the blog. We serve Ads in 90 - 10 sharing mode. Meaning, if a page is viewed 10 times, your ads would appear 9 times and our ads are served 1 times.

If you have not provided the AdSense publisher id, our ads will be displayed randomly about 100% of the times on your blog, for supporting the free services offered by IdeaFry.com.

IdeaFry.com is not affiliated with Google in any manner. It is your responsibility to follow AdSense terms and conditions and to maintain AdSense account with Google. Your AdSense earnings are directly paid by Google.

How effective is it?

Good content is the key for any blog to be successful. So, write good topics / atricles that the visitors find interesting or useful. More the visitors, more the chances of them clicking thru Ads.

We run a network of information websites that drive thousands of visitors each day. Just to give you an understanding, some of those portals generates few hundred dollars each week from about 5% of users clicking on ads.

Keep in mind that, you need to have at least 50 informative posts on your blog, before you can even think of expecting search engine traffic (visitors finding your blog using search engines). This is not a benchmark , but just what we learnt from our experience.

Please note that it is against Google AdSense policy to click on your own ads. You can get banned from the program, forever.

BLOG is short for WEBLOG (web and log). Blog is an online journal or diary where one can straight away published messages, photos, music and video to a website. Blogging software allows someone to automatically publish information to a website. Blogging sites can offer first-rate information on many topics, even though content can be biased.

Here are a few definitions:

“A weblog is a hierarchy of text, images, media objects and data, arranged chronologically, that can be viewed in an HTML browser.” - Source

“The word blog is derived from the combination of the two words web and log. Blogs are virtual diaries created by individuals and stored on the internet. Blogs generally consist of text and images and can appear in a calendar-type format.” - Source

“A blog is a website in which items are posted on a regular basis and displayed in reverse chronological order. The term blog is a shortened form of weblog or web log. Authoring a blog, maintaining a blog or adding an article to an existing blog is called ‘blogging’. Individual articles on a blog are called ‘blog posts,’ ‘posts’ or ‘entries’. A person who posts these entries is called a ‘blogger’. A blog comprises text, hypertext, images, and links (to other web pages and to video, audio and other files). Blogs use a conversational style of documentation. Often blogs focus on a particular ‘area of interest’, such as Washington, D.C.’s political goings-on. Some blogs discuss personal experiences.” - Source

Post : An entry written and published to a blog.

Blog Comments : A section in blog posts (typically immediately following the post entry) where readers can provide their reactions to the content of the post. Blog comments are what make a blog interactive and social. Leaving blog comments allows readers to join in on the conversation about a topic that interests them. - Source

Blogroll : A list of blogs. A blogger features a list of their favorite blogs in the sidebar of their blog.

Ping : The alert in the TrackBack system that notifies the original poster of a blog post when someone else writes an entry concerning the original post.

RSS Feed : The file containing a blog’s latest posts. It is read by an RSS aggregator/reader and shows at once when a blog has been updated. It may contain only the title of the post, the title plus the first few lines of a post, or the entire post.

Subscribe : The term used when a blogs feed is added to a feed reader like Bloglines or Google. Some blogging platforms have internal subscriptions, this allows readers to receive notification when there are new posts in a blog.

Theme : CSS based code that when applied to the templates will result in visual element changes to the blog. The theme, as a whole, is also referred to as a blog design.

TrackBack : A system that allows a blogger to see who has seen the original post and has written another entry concerning it. The system works by sending a ‘ping’ between the blogs, and therefore providing the alert.

Podcasting : Contraction of “iPod” and “broadcasting” (but not for iPods only). Posting audio and video material on a blog and its RSS feed, for digital players.

Vlog : A video blog; a vlogger is a video blogger (e.g. someone who records himself interviewing people of a certain field).

Blogs in Plain English :
